PAULO ARES   Filmmaker 

 

 

I am Paulo Ares, a  Film Director and Cinematographer based in europe, Germany.  Born in 1969, Lisbon, Portugal, I started my Cinematography path in 1995 after earning a Master's Degree at the Film School of Lisbon.

 

I have worked for over 20 years as a Director of Photography (DOP) on many feature films, documentaries and tv commercials and collaborate with the most important Advertising Agencies and Film Production Companies worldwide.

Recently in the last few years I have been working more exclusive as a Film Director & DoP simultaneously in Tvc' s films.

 

After more than two decades of experience in Film Directing and Cinematography I am still adapting all kind of visual languages to different films projects spread around the world from; Europe to South America, India , Middle East, Asia and Africa.  I persue the thrill of shooting, telling stories and creating emotions through the aesthetic of image.
